Blackberry Boursin Grilled Cheese

Ingredients

▢ 4 slices thick bread sourdough, multigrain, brioche
▢ 2-4 tablespoon blackberry jam or preserves with or without seeds
▢ 4 tbsp (2 ounces) Boursin cheese, room temperature garlic and fine herbs or flavor of your choice
▢ 4 ounces fontina cheese, shredded
▢ 2 tablespoon butter for grilling salted or unsalted

Instructions

On one side of each of the four slices of bread, spread Boursin cheese.
4 slices thick bread, 4 tablespoon (2 ounces) Boursin cheese, room temperature
On two of the slices, add the blackberry jam, followed by the fontina. Top with the remaining slices of bread (Boursin side down) to make a sandwich. (The amount of jam you use will depend on the size of your bread).
2-4 tablespoon blackberry jam or preserves, 4 ounces fontina cheese, shredded
In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the butter until foamy. Add the sandwiches and cook in the butter until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Flip, and repeat on the other side until golden brown (adding more butter if needed). Serve immediately.

Notes

For the best-grilled cheese sandwiches, butter your pan- not your sandwiches. This ensures that the bread really soaks up the butter flavor and cooks up evenly.
