Combine dry ingredients (flour, spices, baking soda, salt) in one bowl.
Combine wet ingredients (eggs, sugars, pumpkin, oil) in another bowl. Make sure to use pumpkin puree and not pumpkin pie filling.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir to combine.
Pour the batter into a prepared loaf pan and bake in the oven until a cake tester comes out clean.
Make the frosting by beating together softened cream cheese, butter, maple syrup, and confectioner's sugar until light and fluffy.
