How to Make Rosemary and Fig Candied Bacon

Candied bacon is what bacon dreams are made of. This rosemary and fig bacon is covered in sweet fig jam, fresh rosemary and baked in the oven until caramelized.

Let’s get started!

Use thick cut bacon

To ensure a good caramelized top, thick -cut bacon is best. Lay the bacon slices on a baking sheet, lined with foil. Place  a wire rack on top.

Use a good quality fig jam

The fig jam acts as a sweetener and is what will help the bacon get that candied texture.

Use fresh rosemary

Fresh rosemary will really add a savory, earthy note to the bacon. It's the star of the show after all!

Cook at 375 degrees F

Make sure to keep an eye on the bacon. Cook for about 35-45 minutes. It will continue to harden once it's removed from the oven.
